CALD Senior Women’s Health Circle

Promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) senior women

About the project

The CALD Senior Women’s Health Circle aims to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) senior women through a series of fortnightly workshops. Running from March 2025, the program will offer health education, physical activities, mental well-being sessions, and social support.

Many CALD senior women face health challenges exacerbated by language barriers, cultural isolation, and limited access to culturally appropriate health services. Social isolation, chronic illnesses, and a lack of tailored health information further affect their well-being. According to local health data, a significant percentage of CALD seniors report feeling isolated and uninformed about health resources available to them.
The CALD Senior Women’s Health Circle is designed to bridge this gap by providing accessible health education, fostering peer support, and encouraging active lifestyles through culturally sensitive approaches.

The Program also aims at empowering the participants with English and literacy knowledge and skills while they are learning the different health content-topics.
